Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you complete a contact form on this site your personal data is captured. Please note that I keep contact form submissions until you unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of any communications you may receive from me. Information will also be permanently removed if your email address bounces repeatedly, or if you contact me by phone or email to request the removal of your collected information. Information is kept for customer service purposes and occasional newsletter mailouts.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit my login page, I will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, I will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

The MailPoet mailing plugin on this site will collect analytics that will show how often you open emails that have been sent to you, and information about the date you subscribed. I also use an off-site booking service vCita that will collect all information you provide and also access my personal calendar in Outlook to store and notify me of your bookings when they are made. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Your data is not shared with anyone other than the private and confidential plugin services I use as just mentioned above.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on my website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). As the Website administrator I can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Additional information

If you use the Store link you will be taken to my parallel site counsellinghobart.com.au and personal information you enter there in the transaction of a purchase, excluding your card or account details, may be stored and forwarded to Ronald in notification of payment emails from PayPal or Square.

How I protect your data

Store transactions and email information used by you are encrypted and my sites also have SSL encryption. I also use technical measures such as state of the art security plugins to protect this site from malware or any other third party access or injection. No other person but Ronald has access to this site and any information collected.

What data breach procedures I have in place

My site security measures will notify me immediately of any unauthorised attempt to login to this site, or any other attempted breaches of any nature, and immediately lock out the IP address of any such attempts. If a breach does ever occur, you will be notified immediately via any and all contact methods you may have provided.

What third parties I receive data from

I do receive third party data in the form of registration and contact form information and booking information from vCita.com by email whenever a booking is made. I also receive necessary software update notifications from GoDaddy.com and any website plugins I use to make this site functional, efficient and secure. These updates are acted upon immediately to ensure the addition of any new security code changes.

What automated decision making and/or profiling I do with user data

The MailPoet Plugin used for email collection and sending of newsletters and other mailouts will automatically record your entered data, and notify me and you by email automatically of your subscription. MailPoet will store this informatiojn within my website for secure encrypted mail outs that may be sent to you by me from time to time.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

Ronald Cruickshank, as a counsellor, abides by the industry code of conduct in relation to respecting and honouring your rights to security and confidentiality. Any information collected is for Ronald’s use only and will never be released to any other party unless ordered to do so by a Court of Law.
